Announcing the Second Annual Chemistry Graduate Research Symposium

Week of Tuesday, February 22, 2022

Join us for the second annual Chemistry Department Graduate Research Symposium (GRS)! The symposium will begin on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, and run through the remainder of the week. Presented by ChemSAC, Synthesis Club, the Curie Club, and IBAC, this symposium serves to connect all students in the department for professional development, networking, and an opportunity to present your research to prospective students, colleagues, and alumni.

The symposium will feature two research talk formats; 20 minute live (in-person) seminars and 5 minute pre-recorded talks. In addition to in-person programming, GRS events will be live-streamed for people wishing to attend virtually. Several awards and symposia sessions will be announced following the abstract submission deadline. We encourage submissions from all graduate students but will give preference for the longer talks to senior graduate students. Networking opportunities will include three virtual Q&A panels featuring guests with diverse careers, as well as a social to conclude the GRS.

The call for abstracts is open and closes Friday, January 14th, 2022.

Abstract guidelines are as follows:

  • Abstract title (max 100 characters)

  • Graphical abstract image

  • Abstract main text (max 200 words)

Please email with any questions regarding the symposium or abstract submission.
