Tewoderos Ayele
Graduate Student
About me: I was born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. In 2014, I got my B.S. in Chemistry and Biology with minors in Mathematics and Leadership Studies at the University of Colorado Denver. As an undergraduate, I worked in Dr. Marino Resendiz’s group studying oxidative modifications of RNA. In my free time, I like drawing, painting, playing chess, watching movies/documentaries, hiking, camping, playing sports (mostly soccer and basketball), and watching Broncos games. I also enjoy learning about different cultures and trying new cuisines.
Research: My research project focuses on developing a novel RNA fluorescent labeling technique that uses self-alkylating ribozymes to study the localization and dynamic of RNA in cells.
